So some time ago we went to Dillon's house for a Mooncake Festival celebration! We did not take a lot of photos on that day, as some are busy chit-chatting, some lazing, some playing games, some eating... etc etc etc but we had a great time right!?

So last week we went to Taman Botani, Putrajaya. We almost got lost, but we manage to find the place. We even reached there earlier than expected. *laugh* What is the first thing we did when we reached there? Go toilet... but after that?

Dear All Gideonites,

After the training last week, I am sure all of you are confident in cooking already right? So this Saturday is the big thing, big wok. Last week was small thing, small wok.

We will be cooking Macau dish, the main chefs will be Wai Yee, Esther, Ee May, Samantha and Shueh-Yi. You will be assign to different department to do different things. It is not as easy as you think, it's hard work, sweat and tears! (in case got onion)

ALL of you MUST wear WHITE tshirt (if you have the transformers tshirt please wear it) and BLUE jeans. This is Restaurant Gideon dress code, we must wear the same color. If you do not have white tshirt of blue jeans, please let Cyrus/Ee May know.

Camp Transformation 2008 update Part II

So, after we settle down, check in, decorate the A-Huts, and chat with our neighbours, we then prepare to go to the beach for our first game in camp: Captain Dodge Ball!!

then we reach the end of the rocky road to the beach, can't help but to notice something very funny

how come our camp commander post like a female model?

that day was very hot, many people was holding umbrellas, or using their towel to cover their head like the 2 fella below

see the expression on ka fei's face we know it's very hot

then there was 2 court, one side guys and the other side girls, below is our girls in action!

then what happen to those who are not playing? well... some take pictures

some become our fans

then you wonder, how about the guys? well...

then we had dinner on the beach, that night we play our first night game The Transporter! unfortunately there are no pictures (or have not found it yet). Those who went for camp, you all know what happen right...

Camp Transformation 2008 update

In the previous post, it's not about who didn't go for camp lah...
It's to tell you that camp photo is coming soon...

So, we started in the morning... before we start the journey to PD, we took a BIGGER group photo...

before we go to our camp site, we make a stop to have a BIGGER lunch together!

wonder what John saw... anyway, after we makan beramai-ramai, we then proceed to our camp site! BUT! we are not allowed to unload our bags yet, we have to gather in the hall and sing!

Heya all!

Welcome back to all campers!

There are so many things that we did in camp that we can't just put it in words. Thanks for everyone for making it to this camp because we only have 1 chance that we can stay together for 5 days as gorup Gideon.

To all the campers:

So last week was Bible Quiz 2008!

Even though we didn't get in the first place but we certainly have fun and our heart beats faster than ever! Those questions are really tough but we made it through! We studied for 36 chapters in total, that is the most chapters we have for Bible Quiz so far.

Extra applause for those who went up to the panel and sit for the most scariest exam of the year.

For all those who was on the floor, great thanks! Whether you went out to answer a question or not it doesn't matter, as long as you are here then we are happy enough. It's really a great encouragement to see so many of us came for Bible Quiz.

Hope that this time it's not just another Saturday activity for you but a program that you can learn a little bit more about Gideon, Samuel, Joshua and Moses. They are not just some character in the past, they are the hero.

We have to do a sketch based on the theme above which is Merdeka, during war in toilet (or whatever story that you can come up with regarding these 3). We didn't choose the theme (so it's not our fault!), we drew lot and this is what we got. Do you want to know what the other themes are like?

Do not worry if you have not enough money to go for camp. We are now raising funds for people who do not have enough money to go for camp. Just let us know who you are to your commander or deputy and we will help you out.

And so, Gideont went to Bandar Tun Razak for swimming last Saturday.

Ee May and Esther smuggled in some snacks for us to eat and the first thing we do when we reach there was... eat. We have proof!

Let's see... we have Mamee, Otak Otak crackers, fried stuff that Esther bought. Mmm... so it's correct that we plan this outing as swimming.

March 1: Gideon Can 'Wok'!

Guys and Girls! Guess what we are going to do this coming Saturday? As per the title, obviously is a Cooking Competition!

We will have a few groups competing each other in who cook the best Wantan! We will provide you the ingredients needed, you just need to come, prepare it, cook it, and of course you will get to eat it after the judging. (Yes, you read correctly, there will be judge)

So bring your friends along as we show them who's the real chef in the group!

Not only the taste, you will need to do plate decoration as well. We will provide you only carrots and cucumbers. So you will need to come out with your own creativity on how to win the judges heart. =)

Of course, we will pre-prepare dry mee, finger food and drinks so that after the Wantan cooking competition we can eat together with it.

Yes! It's is still Chinese New Year and of course we are going from houses to houses to visit them! It starts at 11am (Sunday), do bring all your friends to come and join us as this is a not-to-miss event. Only 1 time while you are in group Gideon.

Dear all, we had just read our pledge and officially launch our group, Gideon! We have our banner and badge designed and ready as above. Thank you for all who came and participate in this important day. Especially to our dearest members! =)

After the reading the pledge, we lined up and play a game before entering to our war zone (you know what i meant later in this post)

So the game is like this: Everyone will have a badge with then, they will need to read "I will not rule over you nor will my son will over you, the LORD will rule over you. Judges chapter 8 verse 23. *and shout* GIDEON!" But, at the same time we will kept blowing the balloon that is above your head until it burst. So the trick is to say as fast and as clear as you can to avoid the bursting sound of the balloon.

After the game, we proceed to our second game called "World War 3". (now you know I said war zone in the beginning of this post) We were divided into 2 groups, and are suppose to use the items below to shoot each other.

After this game is another game where we have to sit in 1 line. Then there will be 10 items that will be pass from the first person to the last person then pass back to the front. Whoever can complete this task the fastest will win. After that we have our potluck! Mari Makan Bersama Sama

Heya all, hope you are not too surprise of the new design. (heh)

Finally got the pictures of our fight during Indoor Olympic last week. Great job to everyone, not to mention our little sumo wrestler Jun Mun and our female rep. Kimberly Ng! Great courage to go out and bang all the other groups.

For those who blew in Autumn Breeze, great breath! (hmm, somehow that sounds wrong)

Indoor Olympic is just around the corner! It is on January 5, 2008 this SATURDAY!

This will be our first battle in year 2008! Of course the pictures above are for illustration purpose only. We can't dive or synchronized swimming in church, what more sailing (or can we?)

To all girls, ~~remember to wear the Transformers t-shirt (if you have it), if not just wear white t-shirt.~~ DO NOT TO WEAR WHITE as we will get wet on one of the game. Perhaps wear yellow instead. As for guys, aiyah, you all wear white la. So our group will be half white and half yellow. =)

Don't just bring yourself, bring your other friends as well! If transport is needed for your friends (or you), kindly contact your commander/deputy, we will do the necessary arrangement.

Remember tomorrow is our youth Christmas party, and we need to bring a gift that is worth RM 5 or more to exchange with other fellow brothers and sisters.

Then on Christmas day we will have Christmas dinner in church and the price is RM 12.
